A small tool for broader search.

Translate & Search helps you look for information with queries in another language. The online tool is available without installation; the companion app and extension are currently in development and have not officially launched.

What it does

Use the website to translate and edit a query before opening a search engine. The browser extension brings automatic or manual query translation to supported Safari and Chromium search pages. The companion Apple app helps enable the Safari extension.

What it is for

It helps with multilingual research, browsing, learning, and everyday searching when relevant information may be written in a different language.

What it is not

It is not trying to replace your search engine or force automation everywhere. The goal is to reduce friction while letting you decide when translation should step in.

Core controls

Set a target language for translated searches.
Switch quickly between recent target languages.
Open translated results in the current tab or a new tab.
Skip searches that already appear to be in the target language.
Keep selected sites in manual-only mode.
Exclude specific query languages from auto-translation.
